owner’s bio
I have been a part of the entertainment industry for over 25 years. I started acting as a young teen by taking acting classes and doing a few commercials. I graduated Cum Laude from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelors in Speech/Drama and a bachelors in Mass Communications.
As an actress, I have booked many commercials, voice over work and PSA’s, industrials, independent film and theater. In addition to acting, I transitioned into owning a traveling children’s theater where I wrote and published children’s plays adapted from popular fairy tales.
My journey then took me to a national acting school where I became the Training Director. There, I put to use the vast knowledge I accumulated studying and acting to design curriculum for the beginning actor. After a few years, I opened my own acting studio: The Actor’s Scene.
As owner of The Actor’s Scene, I work hard to educate children, parents and adult actors on the ins and outs of this industry. We have two main goals at our studio: To instill confidence and self esteem in all who pass through our doors and to help each actor gain representation.
Having lived in Atlanta since 1993, I have worked hard to gather a large network of industry professionals both locally and in major markets like NYC and LA. These professionals include talent and fashion agents, casting directors and managers.
I am also a talent manager specializing in the representation of children. Currently, I represent 5 children. My talent have appeared on Broadway in Lion King, in TV shows including October Road, print work for Macy’s and BC Moore, and TV commercials for Disney, Dominos Pizza, Kool Smiles and many more.
Talent I have trained have appeared in more than 20 major TV Shows including: Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Desperate Housewives, ER, Criminal Minds, iCarly and many more. Actor’s Scene talent have also appeared in more than a dozen films, over 50 commercials and major national ad campaigns including JC Penny and Crazy 8 stores.
My love for the craft and my sincere wish to help the beginning actor have come together in a perfect fit: The Actor’s Scene
