 Stars Discovered at AMTC...

Twice a year The Actor’s Scene attends an exciting international acting competition where top students of all ages have the chance to show off their skills, compete for cash and trophies, and gain national and international representation. Acting competitions are the fastest and easiest way to jump start a career in the entertainment industry. There are many competitions in the US but The Actor's Scene attends one of the largest and most respected in the United States. The Actor Model Talent Competition or AMTC has been around since 1960 and has launched the careers of Mena Suvari of American Beauty and American Pie movies, Mitch Holleman who stars as Jake on the hit sitcom Reba, Matt Zuchary, Logan on Gilmore Girls, and Matthew Underwood who stars on Zoey 101.

Acting competitions provide the new actor a way to "break into the business" by allowing him/her the opportunity to showcase talents in front of the world's top talent and fashion agents, casting directors, mangers, producers and record label representatives. These top industry professionals attend the top competitions looking for the next new talent. and come from all the major markets in the world including: Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Tokyo, Milan, Paris, London, Canada, and others. There is no other way a new talent could possibly be exposed to every major market at one time. This is a new actor's best chance at being seen by the right person who could help launch a career.

Acting competitions started as a result of individuals who were interested in the entertainment industry, but did not live near one of the major markets such as Los Angeles. Competitions help those individuals who live outside of the entertainment capitals of the world realize their dreams. And as agents realized there was a wealth of talent outside of these capitals, they started attending the competitions to find it.

The Actor's Scene takes pride in attending one of the most respected competitions in the U.S. AMTC bases its reputation in education and integrity. Not only does AMTC give new actors, singers, dancers and models the opportunity to interview with the top industry professionals, it provides the highest caliber seminars to educate aspiring entertainers in safe family value settings. For more information about the competition, please visit AMTC's website at www.mlamtc.com .

The Actor's Scene only selects a few talented individuals between the ages of 4 and 100 to attend the competition. These individuals must undergo a very selective audition process held in February and August.

Only those who meet the high standards set by The Actor's Scene will be chosen in the categories of acting, singing, print and dancing. For audition information and registration click here .
